Our self worth is hidden inside the very thought about how we see ourselves in our own eyes. By saying yes to almost everything we feel like we can gain more attention or try to feel that we are liked by others, but this ultimately can lead to feeling burned out or a feeling of sadness might develop due to lack of fulfillment of our desires.
Well sure we can change all that around but doing so won't just be a walk in the park for most of us but making small changes will bring out desired results, eventually, it will become a part of our nature and there won't be any uneasy feel about speaking out our thought or opinion on anything that matters to us.

Sometimes even we are not aware of us behaving like a wuss in front of others. Over the years we develop this kind of behavior as a coping mechanism when we feel uncomfortable about a situation, which becomes so ingrained that it's automatic.
It requires a lot more than just some thoughts to stay on the path to change. Full commitment is one such way by which we can focus on our intentions to change. Writing down all the things that we usually do when we are in such a situation when we say yes even when we want to say no. Note down what went wrong every time you do them and try to figure out how you will change it next time.
Change The Way People Define You
Well everyone tries to spice up things a little when they start to tell people about them but when someone just starts their intro with "I am...." then most of the time what becomes an identity of the person is you being an easy person to deal with and unliked.
Never describe yourself as someone who's easy to deal with or one on whom anyone can pushover their opinions, rather try to describe your behavior as you make a decision to change it, be confident, and don't always try to win over the discussion, sometimes let others fell overwhelmed.

When we really know what we are made of and our lows and highs and what we stand for, we develop a strong sense of self. If you have been low on self-esteem for a long time, you may have lost a sense of fulfillment or sight of what is important to you. You might not even have an opinion of your own and you might be telling people what they want to hear or expect to hear from you.
Finding out what values you hold deep own or what are your strongholds, what is the path that is utmost important to you as our inner values and strength is what drives us all the way in our little lives and are the cause of all the choices that we make. Your values will assist you to say "no" when you mean to stay "no".
Wonders Related To Word No
Every time we say yes to someone unwillingly we silently say no to ourselves and who wants that? no one. We lose the very essence of self-respect and worth and also the sight of our own priorities and instead live on terms defined by someone else. Saying No might turn out to be the hardest thing and might bring a feeling of guilt with it but that's just a word.
You may at times feel disappointed in others' eyes. Because of this, you may try to make excuses for why you can't say yes or help when someone makes a request. You don't need to explain yourself as you don't owe any explanation to anyone for anything, when it may feel easier to give one.
Take Time Before You Answer
Deciding to pause just before you are about to respond can turn out to be a great idea. It could prevent you from jumping to a reply even before giving it a thought. If you just can't decide what to answer then let the other person know that you will get back to them when you have decided upon that or let them know that you need to check out your schedule first.
Don't be angry with yourself or beat yourself up for the times you slip up. Do notice where you make small changes and pat yourself on the back. Your confidence will increase with practice.
